First of all, the cover. A dirty band logo, I remember once when I saw the logo on a concert bill. I don’t know what it was supposed to say, but it looked awesome. Under the logo there’s is a hand-drawn corpse, and I guess that it’s rotting, because of the title. It’s cool and it’s just the upper body, no legs. The bones is almost sticking though the skin, like the skin is wrapped to tight around the body. It also has these ghoulish monster fingers and it’s eyeballs is still there, looking in different directions, it’s awesome. Under the corpse it’s the EP’s title, We’re Rotting, but with the inverted crosses as “T” it looks more like it says We’re Rolling. The cover art was made by Kristian Valbo, drummer of Obliteration, Nekromantheons death metal “brother band”. Both Sindre and Arild play in both bands.

The seven track record start right away as a brutal thrashing madness. There is good riff after riff in this intense thrash. It’s high speed, angry, catchy, lot’s of hooks, fast songs and creative music. There are lots of pleasant surprise riffs inn this record. Like, suddenly it stops, you may think there’s is going to be a breakdown, but then another riffs which fits in well with the other but doesn’t like them comes and the song continue.

Like I said, this is fast and angry thrash! An average song length is about 2 min and something and it makes you want to just headbang till you break your neck, dance, stomp your foot with the music or whatever you do. The productions is also very good on this, Arild’s guitar sounds has a good clear sound that thrashes all the way throughout the record. And Christian’s (not to be confused with Kristian) drums have an excellent mix and is blasting it’s way right besides the guitar, they are intense, high speed and nonstop, just how I love it on a thrash record. Sindre’s bass is a bass, and we all know where it lies in the mix, but it always follows on and is there when it’s needed. Glenn’s vocals are great, it sounds like he’s pissed off and angry and he really does a great job. Also this music is made by three metalheads on the instruments and a punk on the vocal, and they seem to be all full of anger, something you are bound to hear in the music.

The lyrics is mostly about Greek mythology, which is cool, because there are plenty of bands who sings about Norse mythology, but of course theres the title track too. Nowadays, Glenn has either been kick out or left the band, it’s a shame, because he does a cool vocal job.
